On the toolbar; select "Route", "Preference" then select "Avoid" for all but local roads, Set local road to Flavor; then click OK Select "Route" again, then "Speed" Change all but local road to 05 or less. Set "Local Roads" to your average speed, I use 12. Click OK. Select "Route" again and do the same as above for "Urban Speed"Save this as "Startup" or some other name as your Template. Determine you start points. Set the mouse pointer on that road and right click. From the drop down menu, choose "Set Start". Determine your finish point, set the mouse pointer on that road and choose "Set Finish".From the "Route menu or the icon, Choose "Calculate Preferred".This should be a route with all local roads where possible, if this is not the case of you just want a rest stop or want the route to be longer; and take a different road along the route, Place the mouse pointer on that road, right click and select "insert stop" If you are going away from the start and the stop number is lower that a previous stop, right click on the stop and you should get a remove option. Remove that stop and right click again , select "Add stop" (This step is needed when the program thinks that the route has reversed.) Choose "Calculate Preferred" Repeat the above to force a route that you want. The return route should be on a different map. From the tool bar select "Edit" then "Copy Route to the Clipboard"

Open the Excel template.Template must be copied down as for as your data will go. Place the cursor at cell B2, select Paste from the edit menu. Highlight cells B2 to G2 and down as far as you data goes, Select Edit, Copy. Open another spread sheet. Place the cursor in cell A1 and Select "Paste Special" "Value".This is your cue sheet. You may delete each row that has a "0" in column A. First column A is Left/Right, Column B is blank, next column C is compass direction next column D is miles, next Column E is time after the cell are formatted for time. Column F is streets names.

SA5 will Print a cue sheet format, however, directions are compass reading: Click File; Travel Package; and check Directions box only
